Committees

The Powerlifting Association of the Philippines (PAP) operates through dedicated committees that support governance, technical standards, athlete development, and organizational execution. These committees exist to ensure PAP functions in a structured, transparent, and professionally governed manner, aligned with International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) standards.

Committees are a core part of PAP’s operating model. They translate strategy into execution and ensure continuity beyond competition cycles.

Purpose of PAP Committees

PAP committees exist to:

  1. Provide subject-matter expertise in key functional areas
  2. Support the PAP Board and officers in decision-making and execution
  3. Establish consistent policies, standards, and procedures
  4. Strengthen accountability, compliance, and organizational discipline
  5. Enable scalable growth of powerlifting nationwide

Committees ensure that PAP operates as a national sports federation, not an ad hoc event organizer.

Committee Governance

All committees operate under PAP authority and within defined terms of reference. Committees report to the PAP Board or designated officers and function in an advisory and executional capacity, depending on scope.

Committee work is collaborative, documented, and outcomes-driven.
